Henderson Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Savannah, Georgia.
The Henderson Golf Club golf course first opened for play in 1995. The course was designed by Mike Young.
Henderson Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course that plays to 6,650 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 72.8 with a slope rating of 138. The par 71 layout has all the characteristics of an old southern golf course. Golfers will be treated with breathtaking views of centuries old live oaks, artistically draped with Spanish moss, pristine wetlands, towering pines and magnolia trees. Players will find the front nine holes open and rolling like a traditional links course, while the back nine offers tree-lined fairways in a natural setting. Henderson Golf Club is a course where accuracy and finesse are paramount over length. Significant undulations combined with generous collars require a delicate touch at each green. Five sets of tees are available to accommodate golfers of all skill levels, and ensure that they have an enjoyable playing experience. Black tees: par-71, 6,650 yards, 72.8/138 Blue tees: par-71, 6,273 yards, 70.8/133 White tees: par-71, 5,745 yards, 68.4/126 Gold tees: par-71, 4,952 yards, 67.6/123 Red tees: par-71, 4,788 yards, 68.3/117(cart included), played on Saturday, May 2009 at 6am
PLAYED THIS COURSE WHEN IT FIRST OPENED FOR 1/3 LESS THAN THEY ARE CHARGEING NOW. IT WAS IN GREAT SHAPE, NOW THE FAIRWAYS ARE OK THE TRAPS ARE THIN AND POORLY MAINTAINED, AND SEVERAL GREENS WERE SPARSE.THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE COURSE IS NOT WOTH MY HARD EARNED GOLF DOLLARS WHEN I CAN GO TO HILTON HEAD, BRUNSWICK, MYRTLE BEACH, JACKSONVILLE,DAYTONA PLAY BETTER COURSES FOR LESS AND BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND COURTESY.

Their prices have come down, and their internet specials are really good. I played on a Sat morning, and with a 2 for 1 website coupon, it costs less than $25 for 18 holes w/ cart. Course layout is challenging. Conditions were only "fair" but with all the rain and cold weather we've had over the last several months, I don't expect top-notch. For the $$ I paid, it was worth it, but in the past, the course was too expensive for what it was.
